In addition to dispatching responsibilities, this position cross-trains and provides backup support for Customer Service functions, offering variety and long-term growth potential.This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving in real time, and can balance internal logistics with professional customer interaction. WHAT YOU WILL DODispatch & Scheduling Responsibilities Coordinate and dispatch field technicians based on skill level, location, job priority, and availabilityBuild and adjust daily and multi-day schedules to maximize efficiency and service capacityAccurately estimate drive times and job durations to optimize routing and technician productivityCommunicate proactively with customers regarding appointment confirmations, arrival windows, and schedule changesRespond calmly and effectively to urgent requests, reschedules, and service disruptionsMaintain awareness of on-call rotations and assist with contingency planning during peak periods Communication & Operational Support Relay clear, accurate information to technicians via dispatch software, phone, radio, or emailPartner with inventory, warehouse, and internal teams to ensure parts and materials readinessMonitor technician performance metrics and assist with documentation, debriefs, and reportingPrepare customer packets, paperwork, and next-day call lists in advance to support smooth daily operations Customer Service & CSR Backup Support Serve as backup support for inbound and outbound customer service calls as neededAssist with appointment booking, customer inquiries, and issue resolutionUpdate customer records accurately within internal systemsSupport billing, payment verification, and follow-up communication when requiredHelp maintain a professional, welcoming front-office experience WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR High school diploma required; associate degree or related coursework a plusPrior experience in dispatching, call center operations, customer service, or scheduling preferredStrong computer skills with the ability to learn dispatch and service management softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skillsHighly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-throughAbility to prioritize, multitask, and make sound decisions under pressureProfessional demeanor with the ability to build trust, manage conflict, and maintain accountabilityAdaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Office-based role with extended periods of sitting and phone useOccasional walking, bending, and light lifting (up to approximately 30 lbs)Ability to communicate clearly via phone for extended periodsModerate noise level typical of a call center or service office environmentPosition may involve seasonal overtime and occasional extended workdays COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Competitive hourly compensation, based on experienceExcellent, comprehensive benefits packagePaid time off and holidaysLong-term stability with growth and cross-training opportunities WHY WORK WITH SNELLINGSnelling is a locally owned and operated staffing and recruiting firm with deep roots in the Lubbock community.
