Band Saw Operator – Structural Steel Manufacturer (Lubbock, TX)Compensation: $17.00–$20.00/hr (based on experience) Employment Type: Full-time, on-site Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYSnelling is recruiting a Band Saw Operator for a well-established manufacturer in Lubbock, Texas. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, precision cutting, and contributing to large-scale construction projects that shape communities.As a key member of the production team, you will operate industrial band saw equipment to cut steel beams, pipe, tubing, and other materials to exact specifications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operate horizontal and/or vertical band saws to cut structural steel materials to precise measurementsRead and interpret work orders, cut lists, and blueprintsMeasure, mark, and position materials for accurate cuttingMonitor machine operation and adjust feeds, speeds, and blade settings as neededInspect finished cuts for accuracy, squareness, and qualitySafely move raw materials and finished components using hoists, forklifts, or other equipmentPerform routine maintenance on saws, including blade changes and lubricationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentCollaborate with fabrication and production teams to meet deadlines and output goals QUALIFICATIONS Previous band saw operation or manufacturing experience preferredExperience working with structural steel, pipe, or metal materials is a plusAbility to read a tape measure accurately (including fractions)Basic blueprint reading skills preferredStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityReliable attendance and strong work ethicAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as neededForklift experience is helpful but not requiredCandidates with related production, fabrication, or machine operation experience are encouraged to apply COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Starting pay: $17–$20/hour, depending on experiencePaid holidays and vacationMedical and dental insuranceLife insuranceSimple IRA with company matchProfit sharing HOW TO APPLYIf you’re dependable, motivated, and ready to grow with a company that values skill, teamwork, and craftsmanship, we’d love to hear from you.Submit your resume today for confidential consideration.
