EMPLOYEE RELATIONS SPECIALIST
Full-Time | In-Office | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
A respected, mission-driven organization in Lubbock is seeking a knowledgeable Employee Relations Specialist to join its Human Resources team. This role is responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies, and serving as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on sensitive personnel matters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide guidance to supervisors and employees on workplace issues, performance concerns, conduct matters, and policy interpretation
- Administer corrective action processes and performance management programs to ensure consistency and compliance
- Conduct thorough, objective workplace investigations and document findings clearly and professionally
- Partner with leadership to develop performance improvement plans and coaching strategies
- Serve as a neutral resource during conflict resolution discussions and employee meetings
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with HR standards and legal requirements
- Monitor employee relations trends and recommend proactive solutions to reduce risk and strengthen engagement
- Assist with development, interpretation, and communication of HR policies and procedures
- Support employee engagement, retention initiatives, and organizational development efforts
- Deliver or coordinate training for supervisors on documentation, coaching, compliance, and conflict management
- Ensure adherence to applicable employment laws, regulations, and internal standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional HR partners on special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations
- Strong working knowledge of employment law, disciplinary procedures, and HR best practices
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, etc.) preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple cases and deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed
COMPENSATION
Salary Range: $62,500 – $72,500 annually, depending on experience
Work Schedule: In-office, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
