SIGN PRODUCTION & OPERATIONS MANAGER
Overview
Our client, a well-established commercial signage manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Sign Production & Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of production, team leadership, and workflow efficiency within a busy sign fabrication facility. This full-service company specializes in custom-fabricated signage, electrical signs, digital printing, and vinyl graphics, serving commercial, industrial, and municipal clients across the region.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience managing a sign production team, ensuring deadlines are met, quality standards are exceeded, and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Lead daily sign fabrication and assembly operations, including electrical signage, vinyl cutting, digital printing, laminating, and routing.
- Plan and maintain production schedules to meet project timelines and delivery commitments.
- Streamline workflow and allocate labor efficiently to meet production goals.
- Uphold strict quality control standards and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.
Team Leadership & Training
- Recruit, train, and supervise production technicians, fabricators, and installers.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and ongoing skill development.
- Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture that promotes accountability and excellence.
Inventory & Equipment Oversight
- Manage inventory of materials, hardware, and electrical components.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and coordinate timely supply replenishment.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and service schedules for production equipment to reduce downtime.
Customer Relations & Sales Support
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer communication related to production timelines and quality.
- Collaborate with sales and design teams to ensure projects meet specifications and exceed customer expectations.
- Assist with estimating, quoting, and scheduling production for incoming orders.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in sign manufacturing, graphics production, or related fabrication industry.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Knowledge of sign design software, fabrication methods, and industry materials.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Commitment to precision, safety, and high-quality workmanship.
- Physical capability to lift and handle materials in a production setting.
