ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Snelling is recruiting a Benefits & Payroll Coordinator for a valued client in the Lubbock area. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional who thrives at the intersection of payroll, benefits, and compliance. The role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee support—while also contributing to regulatory reporting, audits, and HR initiatives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Payroll Management – Process payroll with accuracy and timeliness; handle deductions, PTO accruals, and personnel changes in the HRIS system.
- Benefits Administration – Coordinate health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement plans, and ancillary benefits; guide employees through enrollment, life events, and claims resolution.
- Compliance & Reporting – Maintain compliance with ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and ADA; manage filings, I-9 verification, and reporting for audits.
- Leave Programs – Administer FMLA, workers’ compensation, ADA accommodations, and other leave programs.
- Employee Support – Act as the primary point of contact for payroll and benefits questions, ensuring excellent service and timely resolution.
- Open Enrollment & Education – Organize annual enrollment, distribute materials, and communicate plan changes; provide clear education to employees about their benefit options.
- Collaboration – Work closely with HR and Accounting teams to ensure smooth processes and accurate recordkeeping.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent HR/payroll experience.
- HR certifications (PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
- 1–3+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, including ACA, FMLA, ADA, and COBRA.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems, with attention to accuracy and compliance.
