Mechanical Assembler – Manufacturing
Lubbock Area | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire | Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM | $18.00/hour

Snelling is seeking Mechanical Assemblers for a growing industrial manufacturing company in the Lubbock area. Multiple positions are available for mechanically inclined candidates with manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on assembly work.
This position involves assembling mechanical and electrical components and equipment from engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, previous manufacturing experience, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced production environment.
This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with an established path to permanent employment for candidates who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and attendance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, mechanical components, and related equipment
• Follow engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and detailed assembly instructions
• Install and assemble mechanical and electrical components
• Use hand tools, power tools, and various shop equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform mechanical assembly according to specifications and quality standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic mechanical assembly issues
• Perform quality checks to ensure completed work meets required specifications
• Maintain production and quality records as required
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance when needed
• Monitor tools, parts, and supplies and communicate material needs
• Operate overhead cranes and/or forklifts as trained and authorized
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area
• Follow all company safety procedures and policies
• Perform additional production and mechanical assembly duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of manufacturing experience required
• 1 year of mechanical experience required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with electrical or equipment controls is a plus
• Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Must be able to work the full Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM schedule
