Centrifugal Pump Rebuilder / Pump Remanufacturing Technician

Lubbock Area | Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire | Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM | $25.00/hour

Snelling is seeking an experienced Centrifugal Pump Rebuilder / Pump Remanufacturing Technician for a growing industrial manufacturing company in the Lubbock area.

This is a hands-on mechanical position involving the teardown, inspection, repair, rebuilding, and testing of centrifugal pumps and related rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with previous experience in pump repair, rotating equipment, industrial mechanical equipment, or a similar shop environment.

Experience with precision measurement, shaft alignment, bearings, seals, and mechanical troubleshooting is highly valued.

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with an established path to permanent employment for candidates who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and attendance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and rebuild centrifugal pumps and related components
• Inspect shafts, bearings, seals, housings, and other mechanical components for wear or damage
• Identify components requiring repair or replacement
• Measure critical tolerances using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measurement tools
• Rebuild and reassemble equipment according to established specifications
• Install bearings, seals, gaskets, and related mechanical components
• Set proper clearances and tolerances during assembly
• Perform shaft alignment and proper torquing of fasteners
• Verify completed rebuilds meet required mechanical and quality standards
• Assist with testing and inspection as required
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Accurately document work performed, measurements, and parts used
• Safely operate shop equipment and lifting devices
• Follow established safety and lockout/tagout procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience rebuilding centrifugal pumps, rotating equipment, or similar mechanical equipment
• Previous pump repair or industrial remanufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with shaft alignment
• Familiarity with bearing installation and seal systems
• Ability to use precision measurement tools
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and assembly diagrams
• Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential
• Must be able to work the full Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM schedule
