Bookkeeper – Reconciliation Focused | Lubbock, TX

A reputable financial institution in Lubbock is seeking a Bookkeeper with experience in reconciliations and general ledger accounting. This position is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with strong Excel skills and a background in bookkeeping or accounting. Mortgage bookkeeping experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities – Bookkeeper

Reconciliation & Record Management

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly account reconciliations
• Reconcile internal loan servicing systems with general ledger accounts
• Identify and resolve discrepancies quickly and accurately
• Prepare and process journal entries related to reconciliations

Financial Support & Reporting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial documentation
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Provide reports and account analysis for audits and internal reviews

Qualifications – What You Bring:

• 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables)
• Familiarity with general ledger functions and journal entries
• Mortgage or loan accounting experience preferred but not required
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
