Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter – $18–$25/hr DOE

Lubbock, TX | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Temp-to-Hire

Snelling Staffing is recruiting a Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter for a growing Lubbock company specializing in custom cabinetry and woodworking. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with cabinet installation, cabinet building, trim carpentry, finish carpentry, or custom woodworking experience who takes pride in quality craftsmanship.

Because every project is custom, this is not repetitive production work. The right candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, teachable, and comfortable working on a variety of new construction and remodeling projects.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $18–$25/hour, depending on experience, skill level, and tools
• Full-time, 40-hour workweek
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential

• Company-paid hotel, meals, and travel expenses for occasional overnight projects
• Mileage reimbursement when use of a personal vehicle is required for travel

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Cabinet Installer / Finish Carpenter will assist with the delivery, assembly, modification, and installation of custom cabinets in new homes and remodeling projects. This position requires the ability to read plans and installation documents, use woodworking and carpentry tools safely, and complete installations that are level, accurate, and finished to a high standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install custom cabinets according to floor plans, cabinet assembly sheets, and installation plans
• Load, unload, move, and safely handle cabinetry
• Measure, cut, fit, and install cabinets, trim, and crown molding
• Modify or repair cabinets as needed in the field
• Operate chop saws, table saws, nail guns, laser levels, and other carpentry tools
• Accurately read a tape measure and interpret dimensions
• Maintain quality standards and a clean, safe work area
• Work effectively as part of an installation team
• Travel overnight occasionally, approximately four times per year

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of cabinet installation, cabinet building, finish carpentry, trim carpentry, or related woodworking experience preferred
• Experience cutting and installing crown molding
• Ability to read floor plans, measurements, and installation documents
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Ability to lift and move cabinets and perform physical installation work
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Able to accept instruction and constructive feedback
• Must be teachable and able to retain new processes and techniques
