Iconix Metal Works is expanding our busy facility in Gastonia/Bessemer City, NC. We are seeking an experienced Aluminum Welder/ Fabricator to join our growing team full-time.

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role where your skill and precision will be valued every day. You will work on custom metal fabrication projects, producing high-quality aluminium and stainless components to exact specifications. You will join a supportive team that values reliability, strong workmanship and a positive attitude.

Pay ranges from $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience, work ethic and consistency.

This position offers steady work, fair pay and the chance to work on varied and interesting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret CAD and Inventor drawings
• Work from sketches and verbal instructions when required

• Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including:
  • Welders
  • Grinders
  • Piranha Ironworker
  • Do-all saw
  • Chop saw
  • Drill press
• Carry out TIG welding on aluminium and stainless steel (certification required or ability to obtain)
• Perform MIG welding on aluminium and mild steel
• Use everyday hand tools safely and effectively
• Apply basic shop maths and geometry in daily tasks

The Person

• 4–5 years of aluminium fabrication experience
• Strong TIG and MIG welding skills
• The ability to read and understand technical drawings
• References from previous roles
• A valid driver’s licence (may be required)
• A dependable, hard-working attitude
