Pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Full-time, On-site

About the Opportunity

Snelling is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a respected manufacturing and distribution company in Lubbock, Texas. This is a great opportunity for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a warehouse or logistics environment.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment. You’ll coordinate daily inbound and outbound shipments, maintain accurate stock records, and ensure efficient, on-time deliveries. Forklift operation experience is preferred.

This position is perfect for someone who enjoys staying busy, being part of a collaborative team, and playing a key role in the flow of materials and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify all incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Prepare and check bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, and invoices.

• Coordinate with freight carriers, LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) drivers, and delivery vendors.

• Maintain and reconcile inventory counts, ensuring accuracy across all systems.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely.

• Manage warehouse documentation and upload data into the company’s system.

• Ensure correct labeling and storage of received materials.

• Support continuous improvement and lean warehouse processes.

• Communicate effectively with the production, purchasing, and logistics teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse, shipping, or logistics experience.

• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory software preferred.

• Experience operating a forklift or pallet jack (certification preferred).

• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
