LOCATION: Lubbock, Texas
SCHEDULE: Full-time, onsite
CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-Exempt
PAY: Competitive, based on experience


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and edit CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (including FANUC-based G-code and M-code)
  • Develop manufacturing processes from initial fixture setup to final production
  • Design work instructions and maintain process documentation
  • Program both online (at the machine) and offline (CAM system) environments
  • Generate and manage tool lists based on CNC programs
  • Implement and track process improvements and cost reductions
  • Prepare quotes for part production and tooling requirements
  • Review and close jobs in alignment with shipping schedules
  • Ensure compliance with all quality and safety standards

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of hands-on CNC machining and manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software; FANUC controller experience preferred
  • Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Advanced blueprint reading and mechanical reasoning skills
  • Understanding of machining tooling, chip breakers, and inserts
  • Ability to troubleshoot and improve manufacturing workflows
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems like Epicor a plus

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree in a technical field preferred
  • 2+ years of CAD/CAM experience
  • 6+ years of CNC mill and/or lathe operation preferred
  • Experience designing and implementing fixturing and workholding solutions

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable in a moderate-to-high noise manufacturing environment
  • Occasional overtime required
