Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate job summary
Our client is searching for a Shipping & Receiving Associate to join their team at their distribution center. They need an ambitious and hardworking professional who pays attention to detail and can work an entire shift on his or her feet. They prize safety, speed, and accuracy above all else, so they require a Shipping & Receiving Associate who can pay careful attention to the job, follow instructions precisely and double-check his or her work before completing a task. Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate job duties
- Accurately pick merchandise for orders from the distribution center
- Pack orders in an orderly manner and close cartons so they are prepared for shipping
- Receive merchandise for return or delivery and verify its contents
- Count and stock merchandise based on inventory control log
- Identify damaged, lost, or missing merchandise and notify the supervisor immediately
- Always treat merchandise with care and concern
- Support new employees as they are on-boarded
Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate job qualifications
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Current forklift certification a plus
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 75-100 lbs
