ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Snelling is recruiting a Trim Machine Operator / Helper a respected manufacturer here in Lubbock.

The Trim Machine Operator / Helper plays a vital role in the production process by assisting with trimming, finishing, and preparing components used in commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and assist with industrial trim machines used in fabrication
• Trim, grind, and finish steel components to meet precise specifications
• Measure materials accurately using tape measures and basic measuring tools
• Read and follow work orders, cut lists, and production instructions
• Assist machine operators and fabrication team members as needed
• Inspect finished materials for quality, accuracy, and safety compliance
• Load and unload materials safely using overhead cranes or forklifts.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic preventative maintenance
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols at all times
• Support production goals and maintain steady workflow

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or machine operator experience preferred
• Experience working with steel, metal, or heavy materials is a plus
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure (including fractions)
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is helpful but not required
• Candidates with backgrounds in construction, welding, shop helper roles, or industrial production are encouraged to apply
