The Acquisition Logistics Engineer will play a critical role in planning, implementing, and managing lifecycle logistics for complex systems and equipment. This position is essential for ensuring optimal performance, supportability, and cost-effectiveness throughout the acquisition process. The ideal candidate has a background in logistics within the defense or aerospace industry and excels at cross-functional collaboration to support product lifecycles from development through decommissioning.
- Develop and implement acquisition logistics plans that address the full lifecycle of equipment and systems.
- Conduct logistics and supportability analyses to ensure systems meet operational needs.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to address logistics needs, including supply chain management, parts availability, and maintenance requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation, such as Logistics Support Plans, Maintenance Plans, and Training Plans.
- Ensure compliance with government and industry regulations and standards.
- Provide ongoing support and resolve logistics-related issues throughout the lifecycle of the product.
- Participate in program reviews, audits, and meetings to communicate logistics needs and make recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in acquisition logistics, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with government acquisition processes, including DoD regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with logistics support analysis.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Security clearance or the ability to obtain one (if required).
- Competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $110,000.
